Superheroes , Superhumans

There have been so many superhero movies screening, I feel like I am reliving my childhood all over again, because I practically grew up watching these superhero cartoon flicks or action drama. Which is your favourite character? My colleague told me Batman, because he is the richest. Haha.

Its hard for me to choose a hot favourite, though I will say that my least favourite has to be incredible hulk. Who like a green monster who ballooned so BIG like his huge inflated ego and become all grouchy? Though I must say he did some 'heroic' stuff when he was abnormal.

These superheroes all lead dual identity lives. Their public persona smack of the mundane, with bills to pay, errands to run, chores to do, emotions to take care of. Once transformed into their 'abnormal' aka superhero self, they save the world (except for superman who was really out of the world and who isnt truely human').

I suppose deep inside each of us, we all yearn that superhero to be somewhere, performing heroic deeds our normal selves wont be 'capable' of.

Which superhero will you like to be? :)

The Zen of Bartending

Went to chinaone with ex colleague to enjoy the live band. Music was very good. We were at the bar, ordering our drinks and I noticed something amazing. Usually the bar area is v chaotic and sometimes bartenders are rather messy with the way they mix their drinks. But I noticed one of the bartenders going about mixing everything very smoothly. I would even say there is fluidity in his actions. He was not only swift and smooth in preparing the drinks. Through all the chaos, he remained the calm one, ever so polite to the customers who ordered the drinks and he gave a generous amounth of spirit to the mixes. Not only that he even took care to squeeze the limes in the volka lime drinks. I will say he maintain his zen very well.

He stood out amidst his colleagues who were a little more messy.

Zen is not been calm when nothing happen.. True zen is to be the still one in the midst of chaos. That bartender really taught me something!
